MUSIC / CHOIR DIRECTOR
Role: My role at St. John's is to organize and lead music in worship. This includes, selecting the hymns and liturgical music for the services, directing the choir, playing the organ and piano (and on occasion other instruments), and coordinating with other members of the congregation and the world at large to provide special music for services. As special as music is for me, and as important as it is in my life, it is critical to me that all of this music function as an integrated part of the service, providing spiritual, emotional and intellectual counterpoint to the prayers, readings, and sermon, which are the core of worship.
